Google's Adwords Keyword finder says that the word "Google" has a huge google search rate a month!
Another highly searched for term is "What is Google?"
In something called "Google Poisoning" - the security implications come from being able to take advantage of this keyword popularity and inserting a malicious website into results that are returned by google - it means that hundreds of millions of people could be prone to being infected just by googling google!
Poisoning Google is quite a simple concept - think of a up-and-coming event that is likely to be very popular, such as the Royal Wedding or Olympics, create a website that contains the most popular searched keywords get it recognised as a high ranking website and then "Bob's your uncle" !
